Hi homer.

Traditionally slow starts in Van mean trouble for the Canucks this year.

the Canucks tend to have slow starts in October, but they generally start cranking it up in January. They will be focused this year and play well again all season.

Oh....and Henrik Sedin becomes the all-time leading scorer for the Canucks in the first 15 games.

Vancouver does not have a 2 nd line, one 3 rd liner (Hansen) , one 4 th liner (Lapierre), No certtain bottom 3 Dmen and no back up. Not sure I can predict 2 nd spot at this point.

My prediction is Van trading Lou...Corey being average over the season,,,Van finishing the season in 3rd...out in the 2nd round...

Followed by

Burning cars on West Georgia...

Yeah Vancouver

Oh and yes I fully expect my Flames to have a average-bad season

Nice try to justify.

Core of guys not playing, potential issue in net. Already talked about how they are a slow starting team, #2 Center still down.

Make playoff, ya most definitely. But not putting it in gear for a month+ like normal can put a cramp on their year

Not totally unlikely, especially if Kovy decides to bail on you guys and stay in Russia. My biggest issue with the Islanders is whether Nabokov is going to be healthy all season and whether the defense which has holes can keep up with the Atlantic Division.

hmmm....maybe the absence of the slow-starting luongo will mean the canucks come flying out of the gate

or maybe not

The main thing I don't see happening from your blog is the Islanders doing well at all.

They are an okay team but with the shortened schedule they are playing the likes of Pittsburgh NYR, Philly, and New Jersey over half their games.

Islanders will finish somewhere between 10th and 13th in my opinion.

Probably at lest once during the season Corey Perry will visit Vancouver! But he won't stay...

We said Luongo may help you make the playoffs but you won't be playing in the cup finals.

Not playing- they have played together for what, 5-6 years now. They will be fine without warm ups.

Issue in net?- if by issue you mean two of the best in the league, then yes.

No. 2 C- He'll be there pretty quick. trust me on that

one other thing i predict for most teams is injuries..

a ton of hockey crammed into a shortened season by players who aren't in game shape. it's gonna be like marathoners running a sprint, not pretty at all.

With Schneider starting in net maybe we can have a better start? Luongo usually takes two months to warm up. I see good things in our future. Kinda like LA last year, a ho-hum season but get hot just in time for the playoffs.
